My Medicus AI adventure started seven months ago.
I was driven by the ambition to join a fast-growing startup in the health sector, so I applied for an internship in Business Development and secured it. The integration into Medicus AI was as fast as it was natural. Even before I started the internship, I had the chance to meet the people I would be working with, which was a great help.
If I had to describe my first months at Medicus AI in one word, I would choose “adaptability”. Whatever you do here, you must relish the challenge of reacting quickly if a problem arises, simultaneously keeping a cool head and exercising total control over the situation.
I didn’t have a lot of experience working on business development assignments before I joined, but thanks to the advice and feedback from my talented and experienced colleagues, as well as practical face-to-face experience with customers, I have developed my skill set efficiently and quickly.
The greatest challenge in my integration so far was at the Viva Technology Show, where I had to adapt a range of pitches to the profile of the people I was talking to. With the help of our great product and team, I rose to the challenge and succeeded.
I am now a full-time Business Development & Account Manager, looking forward to new challenges and adventures with Medicus AI.
Business Development & Account Manager
Like many young people, my graduation from University marked the beginning of my career. At the time, I was unsure about which industry would suit me best, let alone which company or department within that field would be the best fit.
When I applied at Medicus AI, I was offered a truly unique opportunity. By working with Dr. Baher Al Hakim, our CEO, I gained the chance to see the world and our business through his eyes: learning by his side, and, despite my young age, taking ownership of vital projects that he entrusted me with.
Looking back, I could not have wished for a better gift. My first months at Medicus AI were a turbo-charged accelerator for my professional development and an experience that has thrust me forwards. Yes, it is hard work, and yes, this privileged position comes with certain sacrifices. However, if you are young, smart, and hungry, this is where you simply have to be: a massive chance to make a significant impact in your job, while also leaving a real mark in a sector that is essential to our society’s health.
Head of Business Development DACH
Get smart. Do your homework on Medicus: our culture, products, achievements, goals, and contributions. The more you know, the better-placed you will be to accurately describe why you want to work with us, and to find out for yourself why this job is tailor made for you.
We’ll tell you who you’ll be speaking with. It’s your job to find out who they are, what they do, and the role they play in the company. Then, it’s time to look in the mirror. If you can assess your strengths and weaknesses before the interview starts, it will help you tell us what you can bring to the table already, and where we can help you grow. We aren’t expecting a finished product: it’s more about demonstrating how your professional path is aligned with the company’s goals, and how you will contribute to its growth
Knowing what is expected of you in the future role is important: your ability to see the future clearly will give us an idea of how you prepare yourself for the challenges ahead. The interview is a chance to be curious about the company, your potential role, and everything else too. We love it when our candidates ask us questions
Be concise, clear, and communicate well. Alongside your résumé, write a cover letter that highlights the key skills that will help you excel in your new role.
Remember, first impressions count. Check your résumé and cover letter thoroughly for any spelling or grammatical errors, and make sure you present yourself at the interview as you would like to be seen.
Yes. As you will be a spokesperson for Medicus AI at events, maintain direct contact with clients at their offices, and conduct interviews, it is very likely that you will need to travel.
